Lean Project Delivery is a production approach we apply to design and construction. The key principles are reduction of waste and maximization of value. However, lean is different from the traditional approach to saving money. Lean Project Delivery is no more about cost cutting than weight loss is about amputation vs. diet and exercise. Each approach might get you to a target weight; one just leaves you a little more functional than the other.
